Meet Ana

As an animal care specialist, my services cater to pets with medical, behavioral, and cognitive needs, including anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, epilepsy, visual impairment, and specific behavior management requirements.

My top priority is the wellness of all pets. I strive to maintain constant communication, ensuring each pet’s safety, physical health, and emotional well-being. With a certification in pet first-aid, I specialize in post-operative care for pets, including neutered or spayed pets, dental work, and hip surgery.

My clientele varies, from first-time pet owners to rescues, shy pets to vocal-pulling dogs, and over-enthusiastic jumpers to playful biters. I excel at providing solutions for separation anxiety and reactive animals.

Additionally, I volunteer at the SF SPCA Shelter Medicine, specializing in shelter pets that require medical attention and care in stressful conditions. My responsibilities include administering oral medication, medical baths, physical therapy, and grooming. I am training to become a handler in events focused on tracking and retrieval, scent work, and search and rescue.

Please let me know your thoughts and tips!

If your animal is receiving exceptional care, such as working with a behaviorist, nutritionist, or trainer, please let me know the goals and focus you’d like me to continue during the stay.

“Ana and her partner did a fantastic job taking care of our specialty pup, Butters! Butters can be selective about who he likes and who he doesn’t like, but fell in love with the two of them when we dropped him off. Ana sent consistent updates though out the weekend and tons of pictures from their outings. Thank you so much for taking care of our special boy!!!”

“I get nervous leaving my babies with people but Ana made me feel comfortable. She listened to all of my requests and sent lots of pictures and updates! Will definitely be using her more.”

“Ana is incredibly conscientious, patient, and accommodating. She was consistent in sending lots of pictures and updates as my pup and her went on adventures around the city. My dog is incredibly shy with people, but by day 2, she was playing and doing tricks for Ana. Couldn’t recommend a better place to board my pup ?”

🐶 Dog clients

My tranquil demeanor often disarms dogs, while my sincere involvement wins over their affection.

🐈‍⬛ Cat clients

I adore cats as pets. To ensure a tranquil and happy home for them, I attentively observe their behavior, note patterns, and pay attention to their unique ways of communicating.

What information should I share ahead of time

💼 Boarding and Daycare

During every stay, your pet will be welcomed into a cozy home. Your pet will hear sounds familiar to their homes, such as chatter and the occasional microwave timer. I offer cognitive stimulation with toys (e.g., Kong), meals (adding an anxiety mat), and human interactions.

Your pet’s care and comfort are most important. Please provide any items that may provide comfort to your pet. I provide a large crate, a raised bed, an electric blanket, chews, toys, pads, harnesses, and leashes.
