Course Outline
This is not a linear course. We welcome all dogs at every stage, starting at three months old.
Youth Handler (age 9 -17)
▪️ Be alert and focused
▪️ Practice
Guardian/ Parent Responsibilities
▪️ Enroll your pet in the puppy or adult home manners course with KickyB Pet Care in addition to youth handler services.
▪️ Confirm the completion of Instinct’s “the DOGS & KIDS course” (not affiliated)
▪️ Be present or arrange for a guardian always to be present.
▪️ Foster a caring learning environment at all times.
Puppy Home Manners (3 months [12 weeks] to 1 year)
▪️ Allows child to pet
▪️ Grooming
▪️ Sit on command
▪️ and more.
Adult Home Manners (4 mos – on)
▪️ Go to place/crate
▪️ Sit on command (no lure)
▪️ Loose leash walking
▪️ and more.
Obedience and Engagement
▪️ Sit Stay – Handler walks away
▪️ Recall
▪️ Play with humans, e.g., chase
▪️ Play with toys, e.g., tug
▪️ Play with food, e.g., “find it”
▪️ Off-leash walking
Owners Commitment
◾️Dog must be rested, alert, focused, and in gear when the handler arrives.
◾️Resilience and cooperative
◾️We reserve the right to cancel any services without a refund.
◾️We do not train to pass any outside agency certification or recognition
◾️The owner is responsible for additional costs such as license, travel, lodging, food and entertainment, venue, equipment, etc.
◾️Let the trainer know if other people or animals will be in the training area 72 hours before the sessions start.
◾️All services must be provided in San Francisco, CA
◾️You may purchase additional hours of training and consultation through the homepage at it’s listing price.
◾️This course is designed for the dog and handler to develop clear communication and meet expectations. Thus most of the handling will be done by handler(s) in the family unit (e.g., owner).
◾️Dog must actively bond with family members
🚀Socialization. I need to understand what might happen if they meet someone new.
🚀Health. We want to ensure your pet has a safe stay with us. If they’ve experienced an upset stomach or if there are fleas and lice, please keep them home and cancel the booking for their illness’s sake!
